A single Christian guy can face far more challenges than one could say. But the greatest lesson in slipping is, you learn more about God's love and grace. Not forgetting His strength to keep you standing.
After one slips, there are thoughts of guilt, unworthiness, disappointment and resentments towards self. Trust me, I have been there on more than one occassions, and the only thing that kept me standing is God's grace.
Fellow believers will ask questions and teach you how to re-act the next time you are tempted, but God redirects you to HIs word and lets you learn for yourself, through His leading. And through His word I learnt to ask these questions:
1. How did it happen?
2. What were the contributing factors?
3. How could I have prevented it? and most important,
4. How did Christ overcome it?
Now, you might be sitting out there in a guilt-pool thinking of how much you disappointed God. Let me tell you, that sitting and self-condemnation is the very thing that is disappointing God right now. Get up and be cleansed in the blood and continue running towards eternal life.
